>>20232764Not OP, but you do it by saving before you hatch your eggs. If it's the pokemon you want (whether shiny, or just right IVs), you reset. Hatch the other eggs in shitty not-Paris, then go to the E4 to get the location.
If you're worried you won't make it, trade the egg to a friend to trade to you via wifi when you're in the room.

OCD really interferes in all games I play, but that's a topic for another day. I somehow haven't managed to develop the need for "perfect characteristics", so I'm still mostly safe besides trying to fight the desire to RNG genderless/male only pokemon for sexy balls.
