>>20252455Interesting opinion, friend. Gen 2 was mostly forgettable for me, but maybe that's just because they're almost all trash competitively--that's not how I judge pokemon, but maybe it means I notice their designs less. I will say many gen 2 pokemon have a quirky and obscure charm
On top of that, I think all generations since then have had a large assortment of great designs
