I tried using it on Showdown, but… Figured it could make a subpart staller with Cotton Guard, Natural Cure, and Roost, but it needs a turn to set up Cotton Guard, is easily forced out, 4x weak to Ice, and takes 25% Stealth Rock damage…

Chinese dragons also include: dogs, camels, birds, tigers, turtles, lobsters and the like as 'base' creatures.

Japanese dragons add: seahorses and centipedes to that list

The day we get a dragon-typed camel would be a happy one for me.

Would the Thai sensibilities be close enough to an Indian aesthetic so that a filthy American like me wouldn't be able to tell the difference?

Okay. Thinking about it seriously, then, I could see it being a Fairy/Dragon type with a pink color scheme. The Thai myth could be blended with the old "don't think of a pink elephant" joke. The weakness to Gastly is clear, but I'm not sure how you'd work in a Raichu weakness. Since elephants are supposed to be scared of mice, it could just have an ability that makes it weak to moves from Pokemon below a certain size, along with Illusion for a HA that isn't complete shit.

in which case Raichu could get either an Electric move that's S/E on dragons, or Raichu gets an Electric/Fairy dual-typed move for the electric/fairy mega I so want for it to have.

Hm, the dragon part is really messing with it though.

I'm pretty sure that the elephant dragon is supposed to be airavata - the serpent elephant that Indra rides into battle.

It charges and causes clouds to appear around it - which Indra uses as cover to throw lightning bolts.

I imagine it would be relatively bulky being an elephant and all, and it could come with a new ability that is auto-misty terrain
