Mainly because of crap like this "Pixelmon 3.1.4 runs on Minecraft version 1.7.2 with Forge version 10.12.2.1121 or 10.12.2.1147.

The open beta of Pixelmon 3.2 runs on Minecraft version 1.7.10 with Forge version 10.13.0.1180 or 10.13.0.1186. "

Just an idea, but maybe the only thing protected in this world should be the spawn town, where all of the shops, pokemon centers, etc are. And the rest of the players just have to be careful about what they build.

It's a really fleshed out mod. All kinds of wild pokemon (gen 1-5 currently but not all), craftable pokeballs/items, and a funcional battle system. Certain non-damaging moves don't always work (status and healing occasionally bug out) but other than that it's pretty chill.

You can also ride certain pokemon (flying types fly, rapidash can run over ground, gyarados can do land and sea). Leveling is a bit faster and it has wondertrade (I hope). The last update killed that permission but the server just went down for a sec.

Everyone here seems pretty cool, no massive faggotry so far.

We have some semblance of a home base near spawn (PC/Healer/furnaces/extra supply chests/anvils) but you'll need to fan out to find more resources. Play it like normal minecraft while beating on pidgey and ledyba. Don't worry too much about food, since you can only starve to 1/2 heart. Check the various wheat gardens to make some bread. Just be sure to replant the seeds asap so it regrows.

You misunderstand, I treated it like modding a jar (where you have to create a different entry in the versions folder). Also noticed my mistake, I didn't choose the profile I associated the jar with :V
Now I'm getting a different error message in the launcher though. Time to download whatever the hell forge is.

Alright, so essentials doesn't want to work at all.

I loaded my old plugins back, so no economy just yet.

However, you do have access back to home and tp, so enjoy that.

I'm filing a ticket with my server hoster to see what they can do, they usually pull through with this.

Worst case scenario I just have to find something other than essentials.

But I would suggest making healers at little rest stops in places far from spawn, with bed+healer+small wheat garden. Put it somewhere high and have some torches so weary travelers can find haven in the bountiful wilds.

The machine in the mine is only a "fossil cleaner" which I assume converts items from "generic fossil" to "[name] fossil" I havent found any fossils but I have 7 or so diamonds so I can make a few gadgets.

As far as I've seen pokemon enter your party healed (might have been a bug), but Timer could be useful against higher evolved pokemon or those with low catch rates (Beldum anyone?)

Well, I'm planning on building the first town on the other side of the river, where the dirt bridge goes (and build a better looking bridge there too) for now. The idea iss to build a haunted mansion styled ghost gym there. Yea, gyms propably won't be functional but I'll do it anyways.

I'm not sure. I think you can build some nice-looking furniture-ish stuff though, with the right materials and creativity. Like, naturally-spawning Vanilla houses will often have fence/pressureplate tables. And I think I've seen couches and chairs made of stairs and signs.

In the Xbox version I built a friend a throne made of sandstone and sandstone stairs.

Very much so

Land pokemon (rapidash, arcanine, meganium, etc) can be ridden over land, water pokemon (gyarados/blastoise/i think samurott) can effectively surf, though sometimes it takes a few tries to not sink, and flying pokemon (anything big enough with wings, Fearow is the easiest) will fly you, if not haphazardly.

The hype is real.

I wish there was a good Pokemon Blue/Red texture pack. I've been listening to the old GB pokemon music while I play this. Shit is max cozy.

I've been trying to make a texture pack for Vanilla based on the tiles of the games, but I haven't gotten back around to it. I wanted to do a R/B one (monochrome) and a G/S one.

I've seen maybe one Pokemon texture pack but it was kind of shit and didn't follow many of the old game textures at all, and the paintings weren't the stuff you generally see in buildings. So I wasn't very interested.

Zubat appear almost exclusively at night and sometimes in caves. Your best bet is to find somewhere with a lot of hills, as flying pokemon don't usually go over the top, making it easier to hit the damn thing.

And while we're at it, we have all the different Apricorns, so you might as well do a luxury/friend ball, assuming they work as intended.

I did plan on making a league set up. Giving players the right as gym leaders, being able to give out badges.

That and your gym along with the land surrounding your gym will be protected.

I'm rather sad that Natures are in the mod and EVs and IVs are to come. Seeing how it's intertwined with Minecraft gameplay, it would have been nice to keep it simple so you could just catch a Pokémon and it'd be viable.

Yeah, that would ruin the allure quite a bit... let's hope it doesn't come to that.

But I do think we should limit the Gyms. One region, eight Gyms. But we'll definitely have to come up with something to make sure there's always a Leader around so we can collect 'em all.

Or we just go anime there too and have multiple badges and just make eight the requirement for League entry. I don't know.

Oh! Ooh! OP! What if after every competition we all have to turn in our badges and start over? The trainers, I mean, not the Gym Leaders.

I don't think people are going to take it that seriously, crazy as it sounds. The way the mod is designed, all pokemon have some unique-rare quality to them and Pokeballs are a valuble commodity (no x99 everything with 1 trip tot he store). Catching _any_ Beldum is an achievement in and of itself with how unforgiving the catch rates are.

Because... that would be kind of cool to see. Trainers would have to fumble through the dark, no torches allowed. Secret room opens up with pressure plates and pistons to reveal a well-lit room with the Gym Leader. Or something.

I've played on a few Pixelmon servers and the amount of times a gym leader has not been online due to timezone differences/work/etc., is annoying. Especially with the first gym when all the new people join.

How's this for a metroid themed team:
Blastoise (samus because it has cannons)
Electrode (morph and bombs)
Aerodactyl (ridley)
Dodrio (Dachora)
Infernape (etecoon)
Tentacruel (metroid, and it's even a tiny version)

If xatu was in I would switch blastoise out for it

Delete extra mods you have in your mod folder that aren't Pixelmon related. Sometimes mods don't work with each other

Hey op I was on for like 6 hours this morning. So how is the server doing? I was wondering if there could be options to set home and teleport to home and spawn.
I want to live way out of the way, but I dont want to suicide whenever someone needs me and then fly back home for 20 minutes.
