I was merely making a point that the reason Charizard sees the kind of attention that it does is because Nintendo knows that it is extremely popular and helps sell the franchise.
While I don't think it should get yet another Mega, nor do I think other Pokemon should necessarily be left out, I do understand where all the Charizard-centric marketing comes from.
In fact, it can be argued that nearly every Pokemon that received a Mega Evolution only did because of its popularity and/or what Game Freak thinks it can push. Don't expect Mega Dewgong any time soon. That's just logical business sense.
