>>20270690I just battled Fantina today actually, and I would like to say that in Platinum in general a lot of the Gym Leaders and Galactic Admins have mons with a moveset that you would totally not expect, and if you switched out on one of these you could get totally fucked. Happened to me with Jupiter's Zubat having Giga Drain and Fantina's Mismagius having Magical Leaf, both on my Geodude/Graveler. Psybeam fucked my team too in that battle (Golbat and Monferno were not a smart idea). I imagine there will be tons of other cases like this later on. I guess it took me by surprise because I'm used to the games being super easy, also it was still very early on.
Also at that point in the game I don't think you run into any Dark types yet, you could get a Gastly (I did) but that's still risky. Maybe Shieldon would be a good way to wall her team since Steel still resists Ghost in Platinum. But I'd say it was still easier than I remember it in D/P.
But Korrina's Hawlucha? Really? They made that game easy as fuck already, EXP share made it so that anyone could beat the game, and now that kids are still complaining at how hard it is they're going to make Gen 7 easier. Fuck.
