Am I wrong to not use my starter in X? I would really rather use Vaporeon over Greninja, yet I find myself feeling guilty at the thought of putting the starter in the PC.

I benched Fennekin for Charmander and Greninja for Lanturn. I haven't used my starter for the last two games.

I liked Piplup too. I think it has the weakest (or most forgettable) fire starter but pretty much every generation has a weak spot except Kanto.

Ask people if they prefer Grovyle or Sceptile. There are a lot more who like grovyle simply because it doesn't have those yellow ball things, the tree lizard I'll give. I wanted filler for that. As for the bridge battle, its the one before mauville under cycling road. If you picked Mudkip, your rival already had a grovyle with leaf blade, which wrecked your marshtomp thanks to pre-physical special split

Black and White 2 was the first game in which I had no starter loyalty. Mr Pig just sucked. Chandelure was just objectively a better choice for what i needed. So I switched.

By X, I replaced my starter as soon as I had something better.
