I don't get it. Why is this Pokemon so popular? Why is it OU? It adds nothing to a team. It doesn't have the bulk to switch into things, it gets walled 100% by Chancey, and it has almost no support moves.

This is basically gen 6's Electrivire. It's crap, but OU because it looks cool.

It may be a special snowflake set that shouldn't work, but hot damn it makes for a decent lead and really fucks with your opponent. Changing types on a whim not only gives you immunities/resistances to some common weaknesses (even with it's abysmal bulk), but you can setup Spikes, prevent setup against you, poison a certain wall, or burn an offensive threat before going down.

lmao if you're actually serious. Greninja doesn't need to switch in on things if you have UTurn on something. It absolutely destroys offensive and balance teams and is a fantastic cleaner. And lol literally every special attacker is walled by chansey, that's not even a valid argument

Yeah I considered it, but with all the Steel spam, and Flying as well as grounded Poison types on the raise, I'd rather be able to Toxic poison things like Rotom-W (who get disoriented on Spikes to begin with)

Not to mention that becoming a Poison type changes the accuracy of Toxic to 100% especially for taking incoming Fairy hits better

Every gen since IV had this one overhyped as fuck frail Dark type that after the initial burst of popularity quickly fell out of use.

Same coverage, but with Extrasensory instead of Psychic/Psyshock, and HP Electric instead of Thunderbolt. And HP Electric does more damage because of Protean.
