I don't know for sure, and I'm not even close to an expert on the matter (so I shouldn't have used the word guarantee, sorry for the hyperbole) but it just seems like the hardware and software of the 3DS is too complicated to double in speed as flawlessly as the Gameboy emulators. I could be wrong though.
