My German is so bad that I pronounced drei as "dray" so I called it "high-dray-gone" instead of "high-dry-gen".

Bug Leader: Violette - [violet I presume, as in the flower]
Grant: Lino [apparently "flax"]
Fighting Leader: Cornélia [maybe "corn"?]
Ramos: Amaro
Clemont: Lem [Lemon]
Valerie: Valériane - [a flowering plant]
Psychic Leader: Astéra - [I dunno if it has anything to do with the plant motif, I just assumed "astral" or perhaps Astérix, hehehe, which makes enough sense that she wouldn't keep up with the plant motif due to her being sort of "out there"]
Wulfric: Urup [same as the Japanese I believe, probably based on something Japanese]

Siebold's name is based on Narcissus, too; it's almost exactly the same as "Narcissus," slight spelling change.

Anise reminds me when I was practicing spelling and dad asks me to spell "anise" and I look at him like "wtf?" til he explained to me it's a type of candy

Another time, the word was "horehound" and I spelled it "w-h-o-r-e-h-o-u-n-d" and my dad's like, "why did you start spelling with a double-u?" and I started cracking up nervously and we had to quit for the night.

I was such an awkward little kid -- one time at the regional spelling bee, the word was "fetish" and i spelled it wrong on purpose because I thought spelling it right would show that I knew what it meant and I wanted to feign ignorance
