The more I fall down that rabbit hole of competitive battling the more I love it. Especially on cart, the feeling of accomplishment that you get after finally getting the perfect pokemon battle ready is extremely rewarding.

Smogon is run by a bunch of babies who ban everything their shit teams can't beat. Also GF has proved that they can't balance for shit, the mere existence of something like this is baffling.

Hey now, let people enjoy their time how they want. I like UU, some people like OU, some people like VGC, some people like battle spot, others like being a passerby hero. As long as he isn't abusing really stupid strategies like Swagplay and OHKO attacks let him enjoy what he likes.

I don't find showdown really as rewarding as the cart.
I mean like, on cart you have to breed the pokemon perfectly find the moves etc and etc, creating your pokemon and watching him bitch slap everything feels so damn good.

Eh the lack of proper matchmaking for any singles other than 3v3 is really what kills cart play for me. I also enjoy being able to see buff levels without having to write them down.

thats actually one of the things i dislike about showdown, it gives you to much information. like showing the stat increases, or still being able to see all of the opponents team after the battle starts. remembering things is a non factor and that takes away some of the skill imo.

and don't get me started on the fact that they tell you if someone has a balloon equipped. that's stupid as hell.
