A mega would actually make more sense, some kind of battle form where he gets all point and ready to fuck your shit. One of the few megas that would make sense following the "it gets more spikes" formula.

The pokemon is based on an animal changing its appearance significantly during "battle". This is actually one of the few instances where a mega makes sense.

I'm totally for this because I like this little fucker.
It turning into a badness norn all that learns dragon and flying moves would be sweet.
It knows Ancient Power, and the design sorta looks like Quetzalcoatl. It could be done to work well.
