Pokémon world isn't the same as the real world, how would tropical Hoenn species survive in Unova or be found in Kalos?
France may be halfway around the world from Japan, but that doesn't mean Kalos is the same distance from Japan-based regions.
There's also a lack of PokéBritain off the coast of Kalos in the ultimate weapon cutscene.

Friendly reminder that X/Y is confirmed to take place at the same time as B2/W2

Friendly reminder that while regions may draw inspiration from certain locations, they are confirmed to not be direct copies, and the Pokemon Worlds geography is unique.

It is entirely possibly that in Z, you will be able to visit PART of Unova in the Post-Game. (Im not sure the 3DS could handle an entire second Region, but I'd loved to be proved wrong.)

I'll also remind you that we are yet to see the Original Dragon, and Hilda/Hilbert are still missing.

I was confused about the decision to make B2/W2 happen at the same time as X/Y, until I realized that it is very likely that Z version will be continuing/finishing the Gen 5 story.

Holding out hope for Pic Related too

Locations may be used to inspire Pokemon Regions, but the geography is completely different.

There's no PokéEurope, nor is the PokéNorthMurika', so the two Regions COULD be connected. No reason they couldn't be.

It's more likely to be a new location if anything. There is no evidence linking Unova to Kalos, although to be fair there isn't any evidence against it for the most part.

And these will never ever be resolved.

Gen 5's story is done bro, there is nothing else that needs to be resolved.

I doubt it. The only locations that are connected are Johto and Kanto and that's only because the real world locations are connected. On top of which the route numbers are both reset. Kanto and Johto have continuous route numbers. Hoenn and Sinnoh have different route numbers but still unique because they're all in Pokemon's version of Japan. Meanwhile Unova reset them because it's supposed to be a completely separate land. This implies Kalos is the same way.
