but then Mawile is out 25% of her HP, has no healing, and you could ALWAYS just EQ it anyway.
An even better counter is Mega Scizor Swords Dance + BP. It outspeeds Mawile, so Bullet Punch goes off before Sucker Punch, and Sucker Punch fails. Mawile has to use a fighting move or Fire Fang to deal with Scizor, and if Mawile was Hyper Cutter/Scizor wasn't the target of Intimidate, going for the Fire fang instead of Substitute or Sucker Punch gives Scizor the chance to hit it with Superpower or Iron Head instead of Bullet Punch. It's not enough to kill it, but it will after the HP loss from Substitute or at least leave it deadweight.
Talonflame would counter the shit out of it if Gale Wings affected its STAB and not just Flying, but unfortunately a Priority fire still does not exist.
