Why did Game Freak make Fighting weak to Fairy instead of making Psychic better? I always saw Psychic as the main counter to Fighting. Brains over brawn and all that. But why bother with Psychic now to counter Fighting when Fairy is a much better alternative? This is my issue with adding new types this late in the series. It can make other types look redundant.

Sure, Psychic is good against Poison, but I don't think that's saying much.
