I don't understand why you shouldn't be able to rename the Pokemon of others, especially when they don't have a nickname at all. What's the point?

You can't rename what isn't yours, and with the current breeding abilities its piss easy to just get another equal or better pokemon in no time.

You can't breed Knock Off and a bunch of other moves to 90% of the things that need them.

this is so dumb. somebody traded me a shiny bunnelby called IT'S SHINY!!!! and i can't change it. Same goes for foreign pokemon. the bond can't be that meaningful if they want to trade it away. the owner should be able to name the pokemon whatever they want.

Just transfer them from your own previous version then.
