I can enjoy both series so I prefer both styles remaining separate.

Though one of my main problems with Digimon is that half of the monsters become very humanoid. Either full blown "catgirl" tier or just anthro/furbait. I prefer adventuring with giant bugs, dinos, and puppies so it makes choosing digimon difficult.
