So I havent played pokemon in a few months. What is the current meta? Same smogon-rush as before? I want to be prepared.

Also whats the tl;dr for ORAS?

We have a Minecraft server, don't know what it's like. Showderp is doing some sort of tourney among its champs, don't really care. Giveaways are all the rage these days, feel free to ignore them. The shitposting has been less for the past couple days, which means we need to not get too cocky, because they're just taking a breather.

Wait a minute. Has anyone noticed that the board improves in quality as the pokegirl threads become less prominent? Or am I making that up?

Anyway, /vp/ is still /vp/, only that instead of hating Smogon for not banning things, we hate them for banning things.

Smogonfag here, their doing some controversial shit with their meta that is probably for the best, but they are really pushing the line.. Some people will say try VGC, but dont bother, because cart meta is shit right now. ORAS is breddy gud

Dont get too attached to anything in the meta, It'll get banned. Anything that outclasses something from previous gen is up for the banlist, yet oddly they wont ban obviously broken legendaries that were Uber last gen. Genesect and Deoxys were unbanned for way too long and Thundurus/Landorus are STILL not banned.
