It ruins immersion and looks bad. I'm not saying that the game should run at a constant 60fps, but when the framerate dips so low that its noticeable, which happens frequently even without 3D on, it's a problem.

Dude, just accept that ORAS will be objectively the worst games in the series. This is proven by the fact that a good majority of /vp/ want it to bomb and know it'll bomb. Even Sonic Genesis didn't fuck up this hard as a remake!

I have hopes for the remakes, but I've already spotted some concerns, which hoenbabbies are naturally sweeping under the carpet.

HG/SS will most likely remain as the highest quality and most complete games though.

Dragon-On Dragoon 3, aka Drakengard 3.

A game that plays at 30 fps on absolute perfect conditions, and during combos has a tendency to dip to...around 7-12 fps.

Platinum -> HG/SS might just be the most solid time period Pokémon ever had, in terms or pure quality and content being released.

X/Y can be disputed about the quality/Content, BUT they did give us such a large jump in visuals and online functions. If we're lucky, OR/AS -> Z, will mimic the same level of quality that Gen 4 did.

Worst overall Gens are 1, (but it gets a slide for being first) and 3.

Gen 5 sorta' sits awkwardly inbetween, as it leeched off the success of Gen 4, and did some nice things, but nothing new or spectacular (Except the PWT I guess)

I don't remember dislike Gen 3, but at the exact same time, I barely remember a goddamn thing. I had to go onto to Bulbapedia to look up who the Gym leaders actually were, I can't even remember what most of the Gen 3 pokemon were. All I really remember is the starters and legendaries, and that's mainly because of the mudkip meme.

So if nothign else, at least ORAS will feel like playing a brand new game to me.

I'm very aware, but the stories in those games are edgy shit as well, and are certainly not worth the terrible games you have to drudge through to experience them. Only Neir is somewhat enjoyable, since its plot doesn't rely exclusively on shock value and "so fucked up" characters, and the soundtrack is great. Yoko Taro's still a hack though, and fuck him for putting that rhythm game in at the end of Drakenguard 3.

No, edgy is when marketing is trying to appeal to teens by being "hardcore". Shadow the Hedgehog is the perfect example of genuine edgy, with the swearing, the fact that Shadow kills people and uses guns, the "dark" storyline and so forth. The difference is that Taro seems to genuinely believe that what he makes is some kind of twisted reflection of the real world. Which is less edgy and more "I'm going to slowly walk away now"

I didn't, but I do know that it also had a similar minigame for its final ending. My roommate, who got me to play Nier and Drakenguard 3 in the first place, is a huge fan of the series, so he's described practically everything about the first and second games to me.

It's nowhere near as common or gamebreaking as /vp/ makes it out to be though. It is annoying though. Makes you feel like GF is kinda lame when games like SSB4DS operate at a constant 60fps.

Anyone who has played Smash before can tell you...things can get very chaotic on screen very often.

If a hyperactive party fighter can pull it off, why can't Pokemon when its just turn based battling?
