I like the gen 4 starters more. But the gen 6 starters are definitely above average. I'm glad they finally did the fighting/psychic/dark triangle and connected them thematically.

Those are the best individual starters, yes.

Gen 6 has the best starter trio since Gen 1.

Nah, gen 3's are better as a trio than Gen 1 or Gen 6, if you ask me. They look great together and have a sweet dynamic even without having an explicit underlying theme like Gen 6 does.

Do you think that Pokemon Z/X2Y2/whatever will have megaevos for Kalos starters? It would make sense to me.
Kids that just started with XY would have their first erection.
On the other hand, they could let the professor give you a Johto starter with its megastone.
