It would be really good, a strong Flying STAB is Salamences wet dream also if it got at least 105 base speed it would straight up outclass Mega Pinsir.

Why not? Return won't hit many things for SE damage but it will have a 198 BP, which is going to kill pretty much anything that can't resist it, after one DD.

I don't want Mega Salamence. At all.

It's the most generic, boring, insipid dragon ever. Metagross already got a mega, and one pseudo is enough.

What about Flygon, Dragonite, or Altaria?

It would be pretty amazing. A big, dumb, powerful STAB Return is just the thing it needs to break through shit like Azumarill and Clefable. Mega Pinsir has the advantage of having Quick Attack but Mence would makes for it by having Dragon Dance, not being 4x SR weak, having a better secondary STAB, and Fire Blast to beat Steels.

Flygon is more of a worse Garchomp. Its frailer,weaker,slower and is forced to run Defog and U-Turn to differentiate itself from the shark.

Flygon is one of my top favorite mons. He's surprisingly popular, and I'm holding out hope that it'll get a Mega. Please, GameFreak...

A worse Salamence, though? What? Flygon has that whole 'levitating Ground-type' thing going for it, plus Roost, U-turn, Fire Punch, ect.

Give Flygon better stats and a new offensively-useful ability and it'd be Garchomp tier.

I think I'd prefer a new ability. Call it Cloud Coat and it does the same thing as Fur Coat, but for special attacks.
