I don't think subpunch is a viable strategy though against a heatran. Again, it is a slow as shit mon. Mawile has to get the sub up before it can use the punch. So it is already going to take a hit before it gets a sub up on most mons, and if it opts for the focus punch route, it is gonna take a hit regardless.
the point I'm getting at is one mon will get sacked more than likely, but 90 percent of the time that is what pokemon is about. One mon does its best but eventually loses, next mon is used to fuck up the other mon rinse and repeat.
There are for more troubling things in the meta right now, so I'm not sure why Smogon is going after the meh mons.
Especially since this meta is about to change soon anyways.
