Are mega evolutions the worst thing to happen to pokemon? I wouldn't have an issue with it if it wasn't an instant transformation.

I feel like them trying to one up themselves every time a new mega is introduced is what's going to kill competitive. They're making the megas super strong but not buffing the base forms, so I assume they want one box legendary level mon per team with the rest being team support.

The real problem with megas is when they're given to Pokemon that are good enough already.
