You see them putting Pokemon stickers all over everything, they just about literally live and breath Pokemon. There's a fucking Pokemon club at my university. UNIVERSITY. These are adults (well, okay, technically it's possible to be in uni and not be an adult, but still), and they are OBSESSED with Pokemon.
I enjoy playing the games because they're RPGs (and genre which I adore, but don't have much time for, hence why Pokemon is great since it has enough depth to keep you coming back for more, but also doesn't require a huge investment of time).
If you enjoy watching the anime, that's fine, too. I don't (and haven't since I stopped watching not long into season eleven, because fuck that show).
But these guys..... it's just.... You know how some gay people are extremely flamboyant? As in, you KNOW they're gay. There's not a doubt in your mind. They dress gay, they act gay, and whether they do it on purpose or not, you KNOW they are gay. It's basically the same thing here, except with Pokemon. And that is friggin' creepy. Hell, most of them don't play any other games (or if they do, barely any others, and are usually unwilling to try most others), either. It's just weird.
