>>20413312I've only played the more recent v-pets (still waiting to get ahold of some older ones for an affordable price), but I believe it depends on the v-pet. I think the newer ones stay in their current forms when they jogress.
Digimon, at least as far as the anime goes, needs some better canon and more ground rules, but for the most part, Digimon tend to revert to a lower form when they run out of "power" or "energy" or whatever. Similarly, they need it to evolve in the first place (kinda like using mega stones).
>>20413331Mega Fail/10
The only example you can use is Rhyperior because it is "fused" with the Protector when it evolves, which would count as an armour evolution. You could TECHNICALLY count some others such as Huntail, Gorebyss and Dusknoir, but that's pushing it.
As for DNA evolution, well...
>>20413351Face it, you lost this one.
>>20413348Most "boss" (or, you know, "big bad guy") Digimon tend to walk around in their later stages of evolution, but sometimes revert to eggs or such when defeated (in fact, one of the series shows as much. I want to say it was Adventure but I don't remember clearly. Basically, defeated Digimon turn back into eggs). I think it's implied that they're strong badasses that have worked hard to evolve by themselves and have the power to maintain their higher stage of evolution.
>>20413378Took you long enough, when someone had already posted about that. Anyway, that's a one-off example, and it's technically still Kyurem - Reshiram/Zekrom is dormant inside of it, whereas (most) jogressed/DNA-evolved Digimon share the same conscience.
>>20413382When the anime starts being good.
So um.... never.
