I watched it and loved it as a kid, rewatching it now and actually getting all of the jokes. It's a 10/10.

Replaying it to give it another chance, since the first time I played through it I couldn't stand where it went. I'm currently past the first few quests in Tokyo, and I'm feeling the burnout again. After the Mikado quests end the game just drops off a cliff and becomes boring and repetitive while having zero sense of direction. I'm fine with this in the other SMT games because things get interesting every hour or so thanks to story twists/wildly new recruitable demons, but SMT IV has an overwhelming amount of demons to fuse every level and not enough story. I'm trying for neutral this time since I missed the mark in my first playthrough and landed in Law. Ugh that ending.

Never played a FE game before, playing on classic easy-modo. I'm not very far, but I think it's fun. Unfortunately I'm progressing very slow because I try to maximize my EXP from each battle and keep every unit as evenly leveled as possible, which sort of sucks the fun out a bit, but that's my own fault.

Just letting you know as a huge fan of the series, Awakening is not indicative of the quality of the series at all. Try playing FE7 for the GBA or Path of Radiance for the GC when you finish or if you get bored with Awakening, they're significantly better designed. Sure you don't have the waifu stuff, but the gameplay of those two games eclipses anything Awakening has to offer. You can emulate the GBA on a toaster nowadays, and any decent PC can run Dolphin, so Path of Radiance shouldn't give you any problems.

Also, don't try to use every unit. That's the easiest way to get everyone killed. Pick the units you like the most and use those. A good starting troupe is probably Chrom, Avatar, Lissa, Kellam, one of the cavaliers, Miriel, Vaike, and Lon'qu. If you want the best experience, don't grind between chapters.

Saying this again: Awakening is not indicative of the quality of the series. But I do want you to have fun, so enjoy the game. Just try not to get too many people killed.

That being said, I fucking love it - the 'protag' is mentally and emotionally abused by the girl that sits behind him in class because she's capable of blackmailing him and he feels like he'd rather be abused than face the gross shit he's done.

Not the guy who brought it up, but it's one of the best manga in recent years that you might like. I've been using Malamar for the first time and I really wish it had more moves, maybe some good water-type moves because it is a squid afterall. It has quite a few weaknesses but it's fun to play mind games with. Possibly my favourite new Pokemon (that's new to me). My all time favourite is Metagross.

It's pretty good, slightly more mature than the last series but still kinda patronizing. I think I prefer the changes to the lore they recently made.

/v/scape and Pokemon Y, replaying because I hadn't touched it for a long time and /v/scape for post-breakup mind-numbing griding. I don't like this generation but the execution of the 3D isn't as bad as I thought it would be - the battles look pretty great now. Not really feeling the drops in FPS though. /v/scape is fun, if you left Runescape before or because of EoC and want to play for free you should come join us.
