Issue with that of course is if OP's plan would go through then you couldnt have the stick is the stone would take its place.
Farfetch'd doesn't need a mega, it needs an evo that can still rock the stick. An evo would permit a drastic stat boost that it needs and still keep the stick relevant for use.
