Eevee is a solid one too. I recommend Espeon, they touched up the fur and made the Shiny look good this gen.

after being INCREDIBLY disappointed yesterday by my 4IV Joltik that was missing Sp Atk... I levelled it up to the point of a IV check being viable.

Fuck yes! Finally got the last Eevee for my Eeveelution collection! Its stats are xx/31/31/xx/31/31, just have to go evolve it into Leafeon now!

This is why I'm so turned away from battling online. I feel like if I try battling a stranger online it's going to be one of you guys who has done all the IVs. And I won't be strong enough because I don't have the time to try breeding for a pentaIV pokemon.

Speak with the Ace Trainer in Kiloude City's Pokemon center. First, he'll tell you how good your Pokemon's potential is. This indicates the total amount of all IVs. (Outstanding > Superior > Above Average > Decent)

He'll then give you a list of stats that your Pokemon is strongest in, then at the end, the analysis he gives you indicates what the highest IV is. If he says "can't be beat" then every stat he listed is 31. Also, if he makes special mention of how BAD a stat is, that means it's 0.

If you had a pentaperfect Pokemon, with 31 IVs in every stat except Sp. Atk., he'd tell you something like this:

>"This Pokemon's got outstanding potential! Overall, I'd say its greatest stat is its HP, Attack, Defense, Special Defense, and Speed. This Pokemon's stats... they can't be beat! That's how I judge it!"

Not a good reason really, a lot of people on /vp/ hate /shw/ as much as they do other generals.

Reason it's on weekends is to make it a little more special, so everyone doesn't lose interest in it after a while but rather have something to look forward to.

With both the Masuda method and the shiny charm I figured RNG was just being nice, you'll get it. That and my O-Power orbs were recovering at x4 speed, so I guess that with Hatching Power Lv.3 helped out too. Even so, dragon eggs still take a long ass time to hatch.

I care more about the opening animation of the balls really.
If it's a blue shiny, I like the visuals of blue splashing from the ball, instead of the standard Pokeball white-ish.
You could get regularity, but then colors collide that don't look well together.
Basically, it's wanting your ball to match your pokemon because it just seems fitting

Sometimes you can be clever about it though.

Oh yeah. I just gave it the typical EVs (SpA and Speed) and a Sash. With that 0 in SpD I don't expect it to live long but I still love it. Vivillon was always one of my favorite Pokemon. I radar'd for a Scatterbug way back and that one took way too long.

Well on my phone I have serebii's ball legitimacy page bookmarked, when I see something I like, I write it on my notepad and start looking for parents to breed.
Now if it's something I got off Wonder Trade, I don't have much to worry about and just start breeding.
If I don't have something however, like a female Safari Ball Machop, I go back to HeartGold on my old DS and start transferring after catching one, it doesn't take but about 20 mins or so if I know what I'm looking for.

I found a shiny scatterbug 30 min in on launch day and I have high plains pattern, I didn't like the pattern at first but now it has somewhat grown on me. I do wish I had a pattern with more green because california isn't all desert, especially northern california

Been at the Bagons for a while, no shiny yet. However, if anyone wants some leftovers, I'd be happy to hand them out to fellow shiny hunters. Not looking for anything in return unless you're feelin generous.

All Bagons are 4/5IV (maybe even 6IV), Naive natured, and have the following egg moves:
- Hydro Pump
- Thrash
- Dragon Pulse
- Dragon Rage

Feel free to specify whether you want it in a dream ball with Sheer Force or safari ball with Rock Head.
