it's not that bad, it just gives you a couple of extra points when you get the crowd wild and it means you have to forgo the scarf items, which are probably going to be a much better item to hold because they're more reliable.

That's not accurate. They do TRY to balance. They nerfed weather, nerfed steel, and introduced fairies to nerf dragons. It's just they don't really think things through.

Ok, I'm not one to overreact about things like this, bu there's several things wrong with the logic in your argument.

1. Just because most people don't do contests doesn't mean the ones that do don't care if it's broken.
2. The trailer says that "some" pokemon mega evolve in contests, so what makes you think that's just Altaria?
3. The AI might use megas, so not using them yourself would just put you at a disadvantage.

Yeah, I guess I should have been more clear that they're at least represented in some way. But you can't see exactly what ribbons it used to have, just that you had some. I see that as losing the past ribbons.

I think it's weird that they don't display what ribbons you have. As I recall it actually says the number of ribbons you had so they probably still store the data for specific ribbons like they did before.
