Roserade OHKO's Garchomp and Rotom-Wash easily, including a few other threats, really most pokes weak to ice or grass. Anybody try it in VGC? I noticed quite a bit of success against common threats.

I use it sometimes in UU. It's not as fast as it needs to be, but it could work with a Technician HP Ice in VGC coming in on a spread move like Rock Slide. It's also pretty great at taking out Rotom-W, though H gives it problems.

I survived an earthquake from the Garchomp with my Roserade, the Dragon Claw wouldn't OHKO if it's a scarfed Charchomp. Depends on circumstance though. It did really well at my last tourney.

Could be scarfed if you want that guaranteed OHKO on Rotom or Chomp, but I prefer Life Orb in VGC, usually manage to KO both if my opponent uses both.

It has technician. I usually use it cause it's about the same BP as Leaf Storm. Leaf Storm is there in case I need that extra tiny bit of BP (I believe only 10 BP difference.) Ice/Grass is great coverage imo.

Depends on what you want to counter and in what format. I prefer Ice in VGC or doubles because it wrecks dragons like Chomp or Salamence, rock is great of you need a flying type counter (although Talonflame will destroy it itself), and fire is another great coverage move with Grass. I prefer Ice since it generally has great coverage in the current meta.

Yes, HP Ice with Technician is good, but I don't see a scarfed pokemon with single target moves be working in VGC. Yes, you can OHKO a chomp, but what do you use it for against other targets? M-Luke? M-Kangs?

Why use Roserade when I can use Ludicolo, which also kos Rotom-W and Garchomp while also hitting Rotom-H and Talonflame for stab SE damage, while only having one common weakness in flying which is only used by Talonflame and resisting Earthquakes and taking neutral damage from fire type attacks to boot?

I prefer HP Fire, because it can take out Scizor, Ferrothorn, Breloom with ease. If I'm lucky, it can also put a dent in Mega Lucario, Skarmory and Aegislash

Pic fucking related. Giga Drain is 75BP + STAB, by your logic, making it 112.5 base power.

With this same formula, Technician Magical Leaf hits 135 base. Both are stronger than Mega Drain.

Anyway, STAB is not factored into any base power calcs, ever. Technician works on the MOVE's base power, and that's it.
