Who here likes Pokemon, no matter what gen, no matter what rules? Who uses their favorite Pokemon instead of the good ones? Who makes a team and sticks with it no matter what?

yeah I always pretty much use the same team,
but its getting ridiculous trying to stay competitive with my bros.

ditto got a nice buff with imposter last gen atleast, dragonite still can hold its own.

jolteon has slipped to NU
ninetales had its moment of glory during the weather wars..

the megas and the powercreep make it hard to win, but when it DOES happen it feels all the better

I like all gens I've played but III and IV in particular. FRLG and HGSS respectively replace RG and GS anyway.

I play every new main series game just to experience the region and the new mons. Say what you want about GF losing it, they still make enjoyably chill games, and there's nothing more enjoyable than a low maintenance RPG when you take a break from studying.

However, I do feel like I've lost the ability to pick up a Pokemon game and just use whatever I catch. If something has an absolutely worthless ability, it gets boxed immediately. I still use NU shitmons ingame, but if it's a super flawed version of that mon I don't even see the point of using it. Effect Spore vs. Technician for example. It's why I dislike the Hidden Ability system and think GF should just roll the HAs into the normal ability pools.
