Lucario, for example, appeals to a larger audience than most Pokemon do, and the proof in that is its overall popularity. For example, how it usurped Zoroark's role of "cool mascot" mon in Gen 5 when Zoroark failed. I wouldn't say it's overrated in terms of design/cool factor/general likability, as the proof of its general appeal is in the numbers.
Battle-wise, Mega Luke is extremely powerful. Easily one of the top threats in the game.
So what about Lucario is overrated?
