So if evolution through stones and items are deemed unnatural, does that mean more pokemon like Slowbro will get mega evolutions? Maybe Mega Electabuzz or Mega Vileplume. What about trade evolving pokemon?

Scizor evolved by Scyther @metalcoat. So pokemon evolved by holding item can mega evolve (like Magmortar, Gliscor, Porygon-Z)

How do you mean unnatural? I think unnatural would be Porygon2 or Z, as it is clearly a software update, but for others it's okay.

Evolution stones can be found on the ground, in many places, and probably wild Pokemon would find them (and eat them?) without the help of a trainer.
