Jesus Christ why the hell does most /vp/ have a camel breaking it's back up their ass about smogon? Give me some reasons on why we hate a community about competitive pokemon, a game for ten year olds, that has no direct influence on the actual games themselves.

Most of /vp/ probably realizes that Smogon is just an optional metagame. Smogonfags are fucking annoying though.

the swagger ban is definitely something i'm not into. in my opinion they should explore options beyond bans and tiers. they could alter move mechanics but that would be an entirely new can of worms.

ultimately it's hard to balance a game with so many options.

First of all, banning Blaziken is still a change to the original metagame, being it only banned in mega form or not. So it does count, as Aegislash, that was desiggned only with competitive play in mind.

And don't start giving me "if you don't like the bans start to ladder and vote", because the whole principle of allowing ladderers to vote bans is fucking retarded. They always ban what makes the game easier for them (=doesn't force them to think while they grind ladder points), like Aegislash.

There IS no "original meta." Gamefreak DOES NOT HAVE a 6v6 format. If you're referring to harassing passerbys or playing vs. your friends, then if you want a "format" that looks like that then go to ubers, because there isn't actually a restriction on what pokemon you can use in those two cases.

Go tell that to all the tourney players that won matches in SPL because of Mega Luke, and then went and voted to ban Mega Luke.
