you get either pinsir or heracross depending on what version you got, heracross for x, pinsir for y, then get the megastone at gamestop at a later date

also I just remembered my friend bred a perfectly good pinsir and gave me an extra one that I have sitting my box...so why do I want this one..

You could've reset for Timid/Jolly Vivillon. Heracross/Pinsir on the other hand is nature locked.

No fixed IVs, and since the nature is the same, it's much easier to find better IV spreads than from event Vivillons. Easier said than done, tho

It has an adamant nature 100% of the time,
that's about it. The IV's are horrible though and it doesn't even have Moxie.
