Because there are all of two paraflinchers and both are weak enough in OU that they have significant problems even getting set up to start paraflinching. Also, if your paraflinch backfires you don't have a scarf ditto waiting to come in and sweep with whatever boosts you managed to give the other pokemon.

Slowbro uses heal pulse to heal other player. Leppa Berry heals PP of heal pulse. Recycle for leppa Berry. Other player loses PP and has to use struggle. Struggle can't kill you because heal pulse heals you.

But it's the combination that allowed for infinite PP, aside from harvest leppa which I just learned about and must use somehow. Heal pulse is the only move in the game that allows the infinite turns strategy, so why not ban that move in combination with something?

Grassy Terrain heals everything on the field for 6.25% damage. Leftovers heals you for 6.25% damage, so an enemy will get healed for 12.5% damage. Use then use protect, so they can't take struggle Recoil every other turn, and you get perfect equilibrium.

nope. There was another set, where you get truant onto the opponent, then trap it with a gothitelle. The gothitelle tricks leppa berry onto the opponent and protects when the opponent can attack. No recoil damage, so no heal pulse needed.

You would have to have an extremely complicated ban that would likely have to change over time as new moves and pokemon are added that could create infinite battles. Or you could just ban the combination of leppa and recycle that allows them all to work.

PP Stalling is totally a thing. See pic.

Forcing infinite battles means you are purposefully not trying to win, but to piss people off. Since the whole "we're try to make a competitive meta" thing is taken seriously, getting rid of non-competitive strategies (ones where you are not actually trying to win) isn't much of an issue if it's too annoying.

If showderp hadn't requested it every other battle no one would have noticed.

I'm sure there's others, but "Funbro" can't create an infinite battle without heal pulse. leppacycle can be used by other pokemon, but heal pulse is the only way to make battles last forever. otherwise it's just stall. Which apperently is bad for the meta.

You're apparently retarded. Both gothitelle and exeggutor need to use recycle or harvest, respectively to make it an infinite battle. Otherwise it's just stall.

Even conceptually, it should be obvious that recycle+leppa berry is the main component of true infinite battles. That combination gives you infinite PP, and it's the only way to gain infinite PP. Without infinite PP, one or both of the pokemon will eventually struggle and kill themselves.

And King Shield means shit against a staller, plus Umbreon shrugs off Shadow Ball even after Weakness Policy easily. Though the battle could still be turned against you - because youre faster (outside of curse and/or -speed natures), you cant kill WP Aegislash without dying first unless it stays in Sword Form
