I couldn't get myself to play gen 5. I saw how fucking pixely it was, skipped it and waited for 6, then reluctantly went back to avoid feeling like I'd missed out. I'm up to the elite four in white and I've hardly gotten anywhere in white2. It's just... so bad.

Oddly enough, although it's my favorite I'd agree Gen 5 has the worst legendaries. The only ones I like are Victini and Meloetta. The genies, the Tao Trio and Kyurem's formes are all absolute ass.

That said, though, it probably has my most 'favorite' regular 'mons out of any of the other gens, and I quite enjoyed both games' story.

Yeah, Gen 5 back sprites were a big letdown. It's like they designed them to be displayed at the same size as the front sprites before realizing that didn't make any sense.

Gen 5 save times were fucking nothing compared to Gen 4. You could load up your game in Diamond, open the box system, do NOTHING, then save and it'll take over a minute because it's saving A LOT of data.

The screenshot posted is an upscaled one, rendered at a higher resolution, so he might be being retarded.

However, the OP's screenshots had bilinear filtering on Gen 5 and nearest neighbor filtering on Gen 4. bilinear notoriously looks horrible for increasing the size of an image.

I always thought BW/2's sprites and environments look fucking terrible because of moving sprites and dynamic camera angles respectively. The sprites are like overlays stacked on top of each other than prevented proper antialising and I don't know what specifically causes environments to look like shit, but it's really noticeable in areas where the camera moves like that fucking bridge to castelia.

People hated Nintendo because how underwhelming their consoles were. They haven't really released something that offered great innovation or power. The Wii and the Wii U were pretty cool and stuff, but, it didn't really pull an audience
