/vp/ I don't know what I did in my past lives to deserve this. I have never seen a shiny. Not even once. No matter how hard I try. I have been consecutive fishing recently. My last four chains were 56, 94, 76, and 104 and no shinies.

Anyone else know these feels?

Hell, the first time I went consecutive fishing on my 6th or so try I got my shiny Skrelp (now a Dragalge)

I ran into 2 shinys in my poke plays, once it was a zubat in mt moon(go figure) didnt really care about it so to the pc it went. the second was a shiny ryhorn in the safari zone, of course it ran away :c both were in firered.

It's not confirmed that Safaris have a higher shiny rate (I think). Just do horde battles. You see 5 Pokemon at a time, which obviously increases your odds a lot. And you can trigger them any time with Sweet Scent.

I used to care about random shinys before I used instacheck. Now I don't care about them because I know they won't have good stats and they'll just rot inside the pc. I've had so many hatched that I honestly have no idea what I'd bother to breed next.

Interesting, I didn't know that. I'm not surprised, I just didn't think it was confirmed. But anyway, if OP is just desperate for any shiny, I'd still go with horde battles. Odds are 5x as good that you'll see a shiny there.

well maybe i'm the only person who does this but i intentionally try and get all stages of lines that i like. so for instance i have a shiny drapion and a shiny skorupi. it's sort of heading towards a shiny dex but i don't foresee that happening any time soon.

but anyways, to me having a shiny gyarados and a shiny magikarp is a good thing. i never actually use shinys though.

Half the shiny giveaways are just powersaved pokemon. The other give aways are from instacheck, at least those are legal.

Either way, until we get a new pokecheck legitimate shinys have lost a lot of trade value.

I have never in my entire life run into a Shiny. Given I've never purposefully tried like chaining and shit, but RNG hates me enough that through random battles (and I rarely use repels), it has never given me a sparkly Pokemon.
