Does anyone else would like to see Mega Arcanine? it's already pretty powerful but

I love Arcanine, and I wouldn't like to see a mega. The thing is already powerful enough as it is, it doesn't need it. Give it more reliant moves (almost every move in his regular set has a drawback except Extreme Speed), maybe 10 points in speed or so and it's done.

Then again making it more tanky would really benefit
Or a Fire type pixelate but, that seems like Flareon would benefit from that more.

I Think a fun idea would be boosting both defences by 20, then speed and hp by 30. and give him an ability so whenever he inflicts a negative side effect on himself (Recoil, lower own defences etc.) His Attack goes up one

This, I love Arcanine but I couldn't bring myself to defile him with a hideous mega evolution.

It could be fun if he got Fur Coat, as he would become a functional physical wall. But I doubt he would.

i'm on board for a fluffy yet cool dog with fur coat, also would like a fire variant of aerilate to it. the trickier part is the design, i have yet to see a fan made arcanine mega that isn't terrible

No, he then loses coverage, as Extreme Speed can no longer be used to pick off weakened water, and Fire types.

Reckless or Rock Head would be better.

I've said it before I'll say it again.
Fire/Steel or Fire/Rock
Make it look like a full-on Shisa.
Give it "Spirit Guard" or some random name. Effect is Fairy-types can't switch out and Dark-types can't switch in unless they're all that's left.
Then just let it learn Iron Head again and maybe Head Smash if you go the Fire/Rock route. +20 to all stats, bam, Mega Arcanine. It's got nice stats, good movepool, the ever lovely Intimidate into Mega Ability combo, and most importantly it's thematically relevant. Just give it a design that's just ever so slightly over the top and it'll be perfect.

losing coverage doesn't matter when getting that ability will basically make it stronger than shit like mega-kan. a +2 priority 104 BP STAB move is just broken.

which is why I don't want it. I want mega arcanine to be good, not broken.

I really like this >>20525901 but I doubt GF will make something this interesting instead of copy-pasting abilities and bumping stats.

Not Very Effective = 78

Of course at this point >>20533925 is absolutely right that it would be broken; almost Talonflame tier, but with other stuff to fall back on other than Brave Bird everything.

Such an ability would better suit and be more reasonable on Flareon.
