Question that I'm sure has been asked a billion times but this will be my first nuzlocke attempt and I don't want to cut any corners.

Playing Sacred Gold and finally got access to pokeballs. I have already encountered pokemon on a couple of routes but I obviously didn't catch any. Is it common practice to avoid catching a pokemon on these routes after you get pokeballs?

Also, does the Eevee you get on route 30 count as that routes pokemon? Should I box my starter and eevee and only use caught pokemon after I catch my first? Is fishing in new bark town frowned upon?

The run doesn't officially start until you get balls. Some people box gift pokemon and only use mons caught, but I prefer to use whatever is the first pokemon received or caught. I count my starter as my encounter in new bark town, and any gifts I receive (as long as I haven't seen a wild pokemon) as my 1 catch in whatever area I recieve them in.

Damn, I just got 3 pokemon killed by Drayden's Haxorus in BB2. All of his other were sweet to kill but Haxorus just rolled on those arses before I got Gallade to finish it. I really liked my Golem
