>>20551144It's more that Pachirisu, largely considered one of the worst pika clones, dex-filler-waste-of-space, with its gloriously bad 60/45/70/45/90/95 stat spread, was able to not only get to Worlds, but also play a pivotal part in the matches the player had that's surprising.
Of course, it isn't that Pachirisu is inherently good. Almost all props goes to SeJun for his team building, smartly pairing up a fast, bulky Volt Absorb user with Follow Me with his team, which is half weak to Electric.
Even so, it does show that Pachirisu does have a niche, and can be very effective in the right hands and team.
It's nice for PU mons like Pachi to get recognition and success and high level public tournaments like this.
Also, tangentially related, Sejun's Tickle > Psyshock was genius.
