Honest opinion? I think they'll wait until around summer or later next year and announce a dual release of Delta Emerald and Z. I have no idea why, but it's just a hopeful gut feeling. It'd also make for some really cool potential cross-game events, like transferring Kalos legends to DE for special events, or maybe bringing a special Groundon and/or Kyogre to DE to unlock an in-game Volcanion event.
Honestly it's probably too cool for Gamefreak to even consider doing. I'll keep my fingers crossed though.
