Pachirisu is a pretty good choice in VGC14 for a few reasons, the main one being Follow Me that only I think Furret and Lucario get otherwise (neither of which can really abuse it) and they over presence of Rotom and Zapdos, as well as Mega Manectric.
Plus, it was the perfect Pokemon to support the rest of his team (particularly Gyarados).
Don't go slapping a Pachirisu on your doubles team and expect instant wins, Sejun is just an extremely skilled and insightful player.
I can't wait for the Pachirisu events we'll get at Regionals/Nationals over the coming year as a result
