You have neutrality to one of Ice's most common weaknesses, a resistance to Normal, Poison, Flying and Ice, and great coverage against Fire, Grass, Ground, Flying, Dragon, Ice and Bug. They can even be taught Thunderbolt, Flash Cannon, Dark Pulse or Thunder and Earthquake in the case of Aurorus to hit opposing Rock-types Water-types, Fairies, Poison types, Electrics and Ghosts, and Refrigerate is a good ability.
Of course, all that is hampered through low speed, low physical defense, and the worst defensive typing in the game...so yeah.
