Well mega-evolutions single-handedly ruined Pokémon. They are the prolapsed anus of the franchise. Mega Evolutions were the result of people hating Cross-gen Evolutions.
Now people hate Mega Evolutions because it means some of their favorites wont ever get to evolve.

Most of the Pokémon (and so Megas too) are not meant for competitive play. Look at shit like Pachirisu.

Need to throw in some normal evolutions rather than giving them megas and stopping the line completely right there
I like it for 3 stage pokemon or some 2 stage ones like lopunny

Because, the entire concept seemed dumb and contradictory to Pokemon. As Pokemon get stronger in game by leveling up, they reach a point where they reach a naturally higher form unless they opt out of evolution.

The whole Mega evolution and reverting back to pre-Mega form seems like pseudo-Digimon added bullshit that doesn't fi.
