>>20588958Look it up, Skarmory is actually fairly light. Its wings are entirely hollow and the steel isnt very thick. Sure its heavier than a few other birds, especially for its size, but its still much lighter than you'd expect. Autotomize cuts almost all of its weight.
Evolutionarily, it actually makes kind of sense.
It lays eggs in thorny bushes, safe from the fucking elephants and bears that wander the mountainsides, god forbid the exploding rock things. Obviously, it needs some way to not get fucked up the moment its babies hatch so they dont all die.
