So I've been trying to breed shiny pokemon using this method, but I've been getting different information on this I was hoping somebody here can shed some light on it.

Do both parents have to be from different regions or do only one of them have to be and the other has to be from your own region?

The Pokemon have to be from different regions of each other. It can be your region + another region, or two separate regions.

A US trainer can use a USA Ditto and JAP Beldum, or a JAP Ditto and a KOR Beldum, same thing

Ah, I see. I was using a SPN Mawile and a JPN Mawile I havent gotten into the habit of using Ditto yet because I just started and have not met anybody who has Ditto as their Safari pokemon.

But now I'm using a USA Mawile and a JPN Mawile since I was not sure and had gone thought about 100 babies with the first pair.

Breeding for this shit is hard but god damn I want me a Shiny Mawile
