I think all the gen 5 starters were crap, but there were some very cool new mons introduced:

Krookodile, Genesect, Golurk, Braviary, Volcarona, Kyurem, Hydreigon, Zoroark, Haxorus, Darmanitan etc.

This is probably because they made it on the same system as the previous generation. It was really just an overall unnecessary set of games.

I lean more towards Gen 5 because of the content juggernauts B2/W2 were... But Gen 3 was my favorite until that point because of Emerald.
