Meanwhile in Sootoplis....>>20602407Paula would awaken to find herself unable to move, her arms and legs pinned down to the chair she awoke in, what was worse was that as she got her bearings she could sense that something was greatly dampening her psychic powers, escape wouldn't be easy and as she looked around the odds grew much worse.
A quick look around would reveal that she had been moved to yet another building after passing out, this one appearing to the living room out of one of the houses in the city.
The room looked dusty and disused, the parts that weren't looking well lived in, apparently the people who moved in weren't too picky about neatness, which as she focused found that some of the chairs were occupied by soldiers, most of them looking like the strangely armored ones from before and all of them looking at her as if they were daring her to try something.
The men themselves made no sound as they looked at her, leaving the room in an odd stillness that was only interrupted by the sounds of battle from outside as well as the hiss of a radio somewhere in the room.
This awkward silence dragged on for several minutes before the door would swing open, a familiar voice coming from outside. "So finally you awaken." said the Old man from before as he walked in, the soldiers standing up to greet him as he shut the door behind himself. "Well it's not like you missed anything, it seems the Fury is holding them up more than I expected, or the clown has changed the plan without telling anyone again."
