Why is Emolga so good anyway?

I mean, I get that in doubles an Ion Discharge + Baton Pass Motor Drive Emolga is kinda a neat trick, but nothing special as far as I can tell.

What's a good moveset and item to use for this guy that makes it so amazing in doubles?

Leave it to GF for balance. Oh wait, Gen 6 is "balanced" so it's not going to be patched except for bugs and glitches.

What happen when I use multihit moves like Tail Slap after Ion Deluge on Motor Drive Emolga? Instant +5 Speed?

Also is Ion Deluge good with Extreme Speed Pikachu? At least he should be able to kill Smogonbird right?

Ion Deluge only has +1 Priority, ExtremeSpeed has +2. So it'd go Pikachu uses Extremespeed, Smogonburd survives and uses Brave Burd, Emolga uses Ion Deluge, waste of time hooray!

Prankster Emolga would work with that but sadly Prankster Emolga doesn't exist.

Ion Discharge would be much better if it got changed so that it transforms all Physical moves into Electric attacks. Then with Motor Drive you're all BAM MOTHERFUCKER CAN'T CATCH THIS BITCH ZOOOOOOOOM

Only a useful trick in Doubles though, given how Ion Deluge works. Garchomp & Electivire the new VGCBFFs
